What do you see?

The Port Details page displays detailed information about a selected port.  From this page you can see both the assigned name and the network name for the port, as well as the address where the port is physically located.  You can also change the name of the port to an identifier that is easier for you to use.

• Fields and buttons

  Field	Description
  Name	The name assigned to the selected port. A network-assigned name appears here by default. You can assign your own name to the port by deleting the current value and typing the name you want to use in this field.   Note:  If you have already renamed the selected port, your port name appears here.
  Carrier ID	The network identifier for the selected port.  This is the value used to identify the port on your provider's larger network.  You cannot change this value.
  Speed (kbps)	The speed at which data frames are transmitted through this port, in Kilobits per second.
  Type	The kind of data supported by the selected port.  Valid Port types are Frame or ATM.
  Port Location	The city and state in which the port physically resides.
  Street	The street address of the building in which the port physically resides.
  City	The name of the city in which the port is physically located.
  State	The state in which the port is physically located.
  ZIP	The ZIP or postal in which the port is physically located.
  	Click this button to save your changes.  When you click this button, the system attempts to update the network with your changes, then takes you to the Ports page.  A message at the top of the page indicates the success or failure of your action.
  	Click this button to return to the last page you were viewing without taking any action.

What do you want to do?

If you change the port's Name, click to complete the change and return to the Ports page.  Otherwise, click to return to the Ports page without making any changes.  No other tasks are related to this page.
