What do you see?

The Network Map screen displays a geographic view of your service configuration across the United States. The Network Map displays alarms and Trouble Tickets associated with your service components. A yellow letter "T" indicates that the component has one or more open tickets associated with it. Alarms are indicated by the color of the component. You can choose to display either the Location Name or Address for each service component, and zoom in and out using the navigation bar at the top of the map. With your Network Map, you can:

• View service components

  By default, the map appears blank. You can view the components of one of your services by selecting the service(such as iQ-DIA)  from the Component List box to the left of the map. Double-clicking the service name displays a list of the components associated with that service. Clicking one of the service components highlights it on the map, and displays details about the component in the Component Info box.

• Change views using the toolbar

  The Network Map toolbar lets you reposition the United States map and take close-up views of specific locations. Click the individual toolbar icons to activate new views.

• Monitor open trouble tickets

  A location with an open trouble ticket is marked with the letter "T". You can view details on an existing repair ticket by clicking in the Component Info box. If you need to create a repair ticket for a component, click in the Component Info box.

• Right-click for more options

  Select any location on the map, then right-click it to see a pop-up menu with the following options.

  Option	Description
  View Details	Displays detailed information for the selected service component.
  View Open Alarms	Displays details on any alarms currently detected for the selected service component.   Note:  This option only appears if the service component is currently experiencing an alarm.
  View Open Tickets	Displays detailed information on any repair tickets currently open for the selected service component.   Note:  This option only appears if the service component has open repair tickets.
  Create Ticket	Allows you to create a new repair ticket for the selected service component.

   

  Right-click the map with no Locations selected to access the View Details option.  This option displays configuration details for the currently selected service component.

• Fields and buttons

  Field	Description
  	This button allows you to select specific service components on the map.
  	This button allows you to zoom in on the map and back out. Your left mouse button zooms in, your right mouse button zooms out.
  	This button allows you to zoom in on a specific area of the map. Click this button, then click a point on the map and drag a box around the area you want to magnify.
  	This button allows you to move the map. Click this button, then click anywhere on the map and drag until you can see the region you want to see.
  	This button resets the map to its original view.
  City, State	Select this check box to label the service components on the map with the city and state in which they reside.
  Component Name	Select this check box to label the service components on the map with their customer-assigned names.
  Alarm Levels	This box explains the severity level of each alarm color.
  Component Finder	This box allows you to select the type of service component displayed on the map.  Double click the name of the component type you want to see.
  Name	This column displays the customer-maintained name of each component displayed on the map.
  Value	This column displays the unique, network-maintained identifier for each component displayed on the map.
  	This button allows you to set your default display preferences for the map.
