The New IP Addressing for ISP Customer screen completes the process of configuring your new IP address(es).  In this screen, you provide the configuration information necessary to set up your new address(es).  The screen is separated into four distinct sections, in which you enter specific configuration information.

  Field	Description
  Type of Product	This drop-down list allows you select the kind of service for which you are configuring IP addresses.  Your options are: Internet Port(Provides customer locations with connectivity to the Internet.) Private Port(Private Ports provide WAN connectivity between customer locations. Customers have the option to allocate traffic to point-to-point layer 2 connections or layer 3 MPLS services, with template-based quality of service [QoS] traffic prioritization.) Enhanced Port(Provides all of the functionality of both an Internet Port and a PRN Port in a consolidated communications solution.) PRN(Private Routed Network: This product enables customers to build a feature rich, wide area network securely. Customers can integrate Internet Access, Network based firewalls and Encryption with their WAN seamlessly, using the feature capabilities inherent in the Qwest Private Routed Network Gateways.)
  How many usable additional IP addresses do you need?	This field allows you to type the number of IP addresses(An IP address is the unique identifier for a particular machine on an IP-based network such as the Internet.  Every computer on the network must have a unique IP address.  IP addresses are made up of 32 bits and written as four sets of numbers between 0 and 255, separated by a period, for example 256.43.7.25.  IP addresses are also referred to as IP numbers and Internet addresses.) you are requesting.   Note:  When you type a value in this field, the system refreshes your browser window.
  Type of Routing	These radio buttons allow you to indicate the kind of routing you will use with the IP addresses.  Your options are: BGP(Border Gateway Protocol - A gateway protocol that routers employ in order to exchange appropriate levels of information.  BGP routing has the intelligence built within the network and your router to know how and where to re-route your Internet traffic automatically.) Static(With static routing, you send data from your router to the router you want to reach on the end location. Unlike BGP Routing, the network cannot re-route traffic automatically. If a fiber cut occurs or trouble on the circuit permits you from sending data, you must manually re-route your service since static routing is strictly point to point.)   Note:  BGP routing is available for Internet Port service only.
  What role will the new IP's serve in your network?	These radio buttons allow you to specify the kind of request you are submitting.  Read the options carefully to ensure that you select the right one.   Note:  When you select one of these options, the system refreshes your browser window.
  How many hosts will you have connected to this block today?	This field allows you to type the number of host machines that currently connect to your IP address(es).
  How many hosts in 3 months?	This field allows you to type the number of host machines that you predict will connect to your IP address(es) in three months.
  Customer SWIP Contact
  Field	Description
  First Name	This field allows you to type the first name of the person responsible for managing your organization's IP assignments.
  Last Name	This field allows you to type the last name of the person responsible for managing your organization's IP assignments.
  Phone Number	This field allows you to type the telephone number at which the person responsible for managing your organization's IP assignments can be reached.   Note:  Only type numerals and hyphens in this field, for example 123-456-7890.
  E-mail	This field allows you to type the telephone number at which the person responsible for managing your organization's IP assignments can be reached.
  ARIN Handle	If the person responsible for managing your organization's IP assignments already has a handle from ARIN, this field allows you to type that handle.   Note:  If you supply this value, you do not have to complete the other Customer SWIP contact fields.
  Subnet Information
  Field	Description
  Lines for Existing Subnets	This field allows you to enter the total number of IP addresses you currently have.  Be sure to indicate the total number, whether they are with us or someone else.   Note:  When you change the number in this field and click , the system refreshes your browser window, displaying one line under Existing Subnets for each line you indicate.
  Lines for Requested Subnets	This field allows you to enter the total number of IP addresses you are requesting.   Note:  When you change the number in this field and click , the system refreshes your browser window, displaying one line under Requested Subnets for each line you indicate.
  	Click this button when you type a new value in the Lines for Existing Subnets or Lines for Requested Subnets fields.  The system will refresh your browser window and display a row of fields under Existing Subnets or  Requested Subnets for each line you indicated.     Note:  The following fields are the same for both existing and requested subnets.
  IP Address	These fields allow you to type the IP address for each subnet you indicated.
  CIDR Prefix	This drop-down list allows you to select the appropriate CIDR(Classless InterDomain Routing - CIDR allows groups of addresses to be assigned within a single network without having to identify each address. The number of bits used for the network portion determines how many addresses are available for hosts. The available addresses are identified by a CIDR prefix and that equates to the subnet mask.) prefix to indicate how many addresses are available within each subnet.
  Hosts Today	This field allows you to type the total number hosts currently using each subnet.
  Hosts in 3 Months	This field allows you to type the number of hosts you expect to use each subnet three months from now.
  What is this subnet used for?	This drop-down list allows you to indicate the purpose of each subnet.
  Additional Information
  Field	Description
  Add Additional Comments	This field allows you to provide additional information for large or complex IP configurations.  Please provide as much information as possible to facilitate configuration.
  	Click this button to send your IP configuration information to the system.  When you click this button, the system saves your entries, then takes you to a screen to notify you that your request was successfully processed.

Note:  Fields marked with a red asterisk (*) are mandatory.  Fields marked with a red pound sign (#) cause the system to refresh your browser window then you change the value.
