What do you see?

The Network Configuration screen allows you to define how your firewall will interface with your network.  This screen is divided into six sections.  The Existing Firewall Templates section allows you to select predefined information to speed your setup.  The DNS Servers section allows you to define the name servers your firewall will use.  The Firewall Public Interface section allows you to define the interface between the firewall and hosts outside the firewall.  The Firewall Protected Interface section allows you to define the interface between the firewall and hosts inside the firewall.  The Firewall DMZ Interface allows you to define the interface between the firewall and the demilitarized zone, if applicable.  The General Info section allows you to enter the values hosts will use to connect to your network through the firewall.  Finally, the Special Instructions section allows you to provide any additional information to help set up your firewall.

  Existing Firewall Templates Section
  Field	Description
  Select Template	This drop-down list allows you to select a preconfigured firewall to use as a template in setting up the selected firewall.  When you select a firewall from this list, the system will refresh your browser window, populating the fields to match the selected template.
  DNS Servers Section
  Field	Description
  Primary DNS Server IP Address	This field allows you to type the IP address(An IP address is the unique identifier for a particular machine on an IP-based network such as the Internet.  Every computer on the network must have a unique IP address.  IP addresses are made up of 32 bits and written as four sets of numbers between 0 and 255, separated by a period, for example 256.43.7.25.) of the main server your firewall will use to resolve domain names.
  Secondary DNS Server IP Address	This field allows you to type the IP address(An IP address is the unique identifier for a particular machine on an IP-based network such as the Internet.  Every computer on the network must have a unique IP address.  IP addresses are made up of 32 bits and written as four sets of numbers between 0 and 255, separated by a period, for example 256.43.7.25.) of the server your firewall will use to resolve domain names if the Primary DNS Server is unavailable.
  Firewall Public Interface Section
  Field	Description
  Public IP Address	This field allows you to type the IP address(An IP address is the unique identifier for a particular machine on an IP-based network such as the Internet.  Every computer on the network must have a unique IP address.  IP addresses are made up of 32 bits and written as four sets of numbers between 0 and 255, separated by a period, for example 256.43.7.25.) of your organization's server.  This is the address the firewall will show to hosts outside the firewall.
  Public IP Netmask	This field displays the subnet mask(subnet masks interpret IP addresses on the basis of number of bits allocated to host and network location.) for your organization's network.  This is the value the firewall shows to hosts outside the firewall.
  Public Interface	This drop-down list allows you to select the type of interface between the firewall and the Internet or outside network.
  Public VIP (applicable vrrp pairs)	This field allows you to type the main VIP(Virtual IP address) for your firewall's vrrp(Virtual Redundant Routing Pair), if applicable. The VIP is shared by two firewall components.
  Public Standby IP (applicable vrrp pairs)	This field allows you to type the main IP address(An IP address is the unique identifier for a particular machine on an IP-based network such as the Internet.  Every computer on the network must have a unique IP address.  IP addresses are made up of 32 bits and written as four sets of numbers between 0 and 255, separated by a period, for example 256.43.7.25.), based on its URL(Universal Resource Locator - A formal name for an Internet address.) and Domain Name, for the standby firewall pair, if applicable.
  Firewall Protected Interface Section
  Field	Description
  Protected IP Address	This field allows you to type the IP address(An IP address is the unique identifier for a particular machine on an IP-based network such as the Internet.  Every computer on the network must have a unique IP address.  IP addresses are made up of 32 bits and written as four sets of numbers between 0 and 255, separated by a period, for example 256.43.7.25.) of the host behind the firewall.
  Protected IP Netmask	This field allows you to type the subnet mask(subnet masks interpret IP addresses on the basis of number of bits allocated to host and network location.) of the host behind the firewall.
  Protected Interface	This drop-down list allows you to select the type of interface between the firewall and the protected host.
  Protected VIP (applicable vrrp pairs)	This field allows you to type the VIP(Virtual IP address) for the main server protected by the firewall.
  Protected Standby IP (applicable vrrp pairs)	This field allows you to type the IP address(An IP address is the unique identifier for a particular machine on an IP-based network such as the Internet.  Every computer on the network must have a unique IP address.  IP addresses are made up of 32 bits and written as four sets of numbers between 0 and 255, separated by a period, for example 256.43.7.25.) for the standby server protected by the firewall.
  Firewall DMZ Interface
  Field	Description
  DMZ IP Address	This field allows you to type the IP address of the DMZ(DeMilitarized Zone) that sits between your internal network and the Internet.
  DMZ IP Netmask	This field allows you to type the subnet mask(subnet masks interpret IP addresses on the basis of number of bits allocated to host and network location.) for the DMZ(DeMilitarized Zone) that sits between your internal network and the Internet.
  DMZ Interface	This drop-down list allows you to select the type of interface between the DMZ(DeMilitarized Zone) and the external network or the Internet.
  DMZ VIP (applicable vrrp pairs)	This field allows you to type the DMZ(DeMilitarized Zone) VIP(Virtual IP address) for vrrp(Virtual Redundant Routing Pair).
  DMZ standby IP (applicable for vrrp pairs)	This field allows you to type the standby IP address(An IP address is the unique identifier for a particular machine on an IP-based network such as the Internet.  Every computer on the network must have a unique IP address.  IP addresses are made up of 32 bits and written as four sets of numbers between 0 and 255, separated by a period, for example 256.43.7.25.) for the DMZ(DeMilitarized Zone).
  General Info Section
  Field	Description
  Firewall Default Route IP	This field allows you to type the IP address(An IP address is the unique identifier for a particular machine on an IP-based network such as the Internet.  Every computer on the network must have a unique IP address.  IP addresses are made up of 32 bits and written as four sets of numbers between 0 and 255, separated by a period, for example 256.43.7.25.) the firewall exposes by default to the external network or Internet.
  Out-of-band Access Phone Number	These fields allow you to type the telephone number users can dial to access your firewall.
  Special Instructions Section
  Field	Description
  Special Cabling Needs	This box allows you to type instructions for any special cabling the firewall will require.
  Comments	This box allows you to type any additional information related to network configuration for the firewall.
  	Click this button to apply the network configuration information you have created to the selected firewall.  When you click this button, the system attempts to save the configuration information and associate it with the firewall before returning you to the Initial Setup screen.  The Network Configuration option at the bottom of the screen should now have a status of Completed.
  	Click this button to return to the previous screen without taking any actions.
