An IP address is the unique identifier for a particular machine on an IP-based network such as the Internet. Every computer on the network must have a unique IP address. IP addresses are made up of 32 bits and written as four sets of numbers between 0 and 255, separated by a period, for example 256.43.7.25. IP addresses are also referred to as IP numbers and Internet addresses.
Internet Protocol Telephony - Telephone service over an IP network
The unique number used to identify your router on the Internet. IPv4 addresses appear as four numbers separated by periods. Each number can be zero to 255, for example 123.123.123.123.
The unique number used to identify your router on the Internet. IPv6 addresses appear as x:x:x:x:x:x:x:x, where the 'x's are the hexadecimal values of the eight 16-bit pieces of the address.
