What do you see?

The Static Routes screen allows you to define one or more path between the host protected by the firewall and one or more hosts outside the firewall.

• Fields and buttons

  Field	Description
  Destination	This field allows you to type the IP address(An IP address is the unique identifier for a particular machine on an IP-based network such as the Internet.  Every computer on the network must have a unique IP address.  IP addresses are made up of 32 bits and written as four sets of numbers between 0 and 255, separated by a period, for example 256.43.7.25.) to which traffic from your server will be routed by the static route.
  Netmask	This allows you to type the destination host's subnet mask(subnet masks interpret IP addresses on the basis of number of bits allocated to host and network location.) for the static route.
  Gateway	This allows you to type the IP address(An IP address is the unique identifier for a particular machine on an IP-based network such as the Internet.  Every computer on the network must have a unique IP address.  IP addresses are made up of 32 bits and written as four sets of numbers between 0 and 255, separated by a period, for example 256.43.7.25.) of the point of entry and exit for traffic going into the route's destination host.  The gateway could be a router or a bastion host.
  	Click this button to move the static route you created using the fields above to the Selected Routes box.  When you click this button, the system adds the route to the box, then clears the fields so you can create another.
  	Click this button to delete the selected static route from the Static Routes box.
  Selected Routes	This box lists all the static routes that will be added to the selected firewall when you click .
  	Click this button to associate the static routes you created with the selected firewall.  When you click this button, the system attempts to save the static routes, then returns you to the Initial Setup screen.  The Static Routes option at the bottom of the screen should now have a status of Completed.
  	Click this button to return to the previous screen without taking any action.

Note:  This screen is for initial configuration only.  You cannot update these routes once your firewall has been deployed.
