Copying a List of Numbers Into a Superroute

 

Procedure

Follow the steps below to add a list of numbers copied from another source to a Superroute or Toll-free Group:

 

Note:  Before you begin this procedure, you should have the list of numbers you want to add ready.  You can have the list in any text editing program, such as Word or Notepad.  Just make certain you have each number on a separate line.  If you do not, the system will read the list as a single, very long, toll-free number.

Action

Open the file containing your list of toll-free numbers.

 

Note:  Each toll-free must be on a single, separate line.

Highlight all the toll-free numbers you want to add, and copy them to your system clipboard.

 

Note:  You can copy the numbers by holding down the Ctrl key and pressing the C key on your keyboard.

On any screen under the View-Modify Call Plans tab, click Add to Superroute from the Functions section on the left-hand side of the screen.

 

Result:  The system takes you to the Add to Superroute screen.

 

Note:  Make sure you are in View Only mode.  You cannot perform this procedure in Modify mode.

In the Type or Paste Toll-free Numbers box, paste the list of numbers you copied in Step 2.

 

Note:  You can paste the contents of your system clipboard by clicking in the box, holding down your Ctrl key, and pressing the V key.

Ensure that you have one and only one toll-free number per line in the Type or Paste Toll-free Numbers box.

Do you want to create a Toll-free Group?

If...

Then...

Yes

  1. Select the Toll-free Group check box.

  2. Type the name you want to assign to the group of numbers in the Group Description field.

No

Proceed directly to the next step.

Click btn_newsubmit.gif.

 

Result:  The system attempts to add the toll-free number(s) to the Superroute.  A confirmation screen appears, indicating the success or failure of the action.

 

Note:  You can click btn_newclear.gif at any time to clear the screen without taking any action.
