What do you see?

The View Alarm Status screen displays network alarms for your Internet services.  Alarms indicate problems of varying severity levels with specific components of your Internet service.  The system continuously monitors the network for alarms, and updates the Open Alarms list every minute. If the situation that triggered the alarm is resolved, the network will close that alarm automatically.

This screen is divided into two sections. The Filters section on the left-hand side of the screen allows you to find specific alarms quickly by entering the criteria for the alarms you want to see.  The Alarm Information list displays information on all alarms that match your criteria.

Note:  The screen initially displays all open alarms for the last 30 days.

• Fields and buttons

  Filters Section
  Field	Description
  Open	Select this radio button to view only open alarms in the Alarm Information list.
  Closed	Select this radio button to view only closed alarms in the Alarm Information list.
  All	Select this radio button to view both open and closed alarms in the Alarm Information list.
  From	Type the first date for which you want to see alarms in these fields.  Type the two-digit number of the month in the first field, the two-digit day in the second field and the four-digit year in the last field.

  	Click this button to retrieve all alarms matching the criteria you entered.
  Alarm Details Section
  Field	Description
  Product(s)	This field indicates the Internet product(s) for which alarms are listed in the Alarm Information section.
  Status	This field indicates the status of the alarms listed in the Alarm Information section.
  Report Period	This field indicates the range of dates for which alarms are listed in the Alarm Information section.
  Severity	This field identifies the colors used to indicate the severity level of each alarm.
  Status	This field identifies the symbols used to indicate open and closed alarms.
  Alarm Information Section
  Field	Description
  Severity	This column indicates the severity level of each alarm in the list.
  Status	This column indicates the current status of each alarm in the list.
  Date	This column indicates the date on which the network detected each listed alarm.     You can click the value in this field to see more detailed information about the selected alarm.  When you click this value, the Alarm Details screen appears.
  Alarm Type	This column identifies the specific problem that triggered each alarm in the list.
  Component Type	This column indicates the kind of service component experiencing each alarm.
  Component Name	This column contains the unique, customer-maintained name of each component experiencing the alarm.
  Tools	This column contains tool icons that allow you to work with the alarms listed.
