Scheduling a Report for Future Generation

 


Procedure

Follow the steps below to generate a selected report at a future date/time:

Are you scheduling a new report or an existing report?

If you are scheduling...

Then...

A new report

  1. Generate your report.

  2. Click btn_newschedule.gif.

An existing report

  1. From the Scheduled Reports page, click the value in the Frequency column for the report you want to schedule.

  2. From the Report Summary Log page, click Scheduled from the Status column for the report you want to schedule.

 

Result:  The system takes you to the Schedule Report page.

In the Name field, type the unique identifier you want to use for the report when it is generated.

In the Title field, type the title that will appear on the report (and in the browser title bar when the report is viewed online).

In the Start Date field, type the date on which you want the system to begin running the scheduled report.  Use the format mm/dd/yyyy.

 

Note:  To select a date from a pop-up calendar, click icon_calendar.gif.

From the Report Format radio buttons, choose the file format in which you want the system to create your report.

From the Frequency radio buttons, select how often you want the system to run the report.

Do you want the system to stop running the report after a specified date?

If...

Then...

Yes

  1. Select the End By radio button.

  2. In the End By field, type the date on which you want the system to stop generating the report.  Use the format mm/dd/yyyy.

    Note:
     To select a date from a pop-up calendar, click icon_calendar.gif.

No

Select the No end date radio button.

In the remaining fields, provide as much information as you can.

Click btn_newsubmit.gif.

 

Result:  The system attempts to save the information you entered, then takes you to a page indicating the success or failure of your action.  After that, you are redirected to the Scheduled Report Summary page.  Your report should be listed there, and the system should run it at the specified intervals for the specified time period.
