Modifying a Hunt Sequence

 

Procedure

Follow the steps below to edit an existing hunt sequence currently defined for one of the billing accounts at a selected service address:

Action

From any Worksheet screen, select Add/Configure Hunt Seq.

 

Result:  The system takes you to the Add/Configure Hunt Sequence - Flat Rate Business Line screen.

From the Service Address Selection section, choose the location containing the account whose hunt sequence you want to edit, then click btn_newgo.gif.

 

Result:  The system refreshes your browser window.  When the screen reappears, the Service Address Selection section no longer appears, and the List of BTNs section is now active.

From the List of BTNs section, select the Billing Account whose hunt sequence you want to edit.

From the drop-down list at the bottom of the page, select Modify Hunt Sequence on BTN, then click btn_newgo.gif.

 

Result:  The system takes you to the Configure Hunt Sequence - Flat Rate Business Line screen.

In the Select Sequence to be modified section, select the radio button for the hunt sequence you want to edit.

Add numbers to the hunt sequence

  1. From the Select TN to add to hunt sequence list box, click the telephone number(s) you want to add.

    Note:      To select a range of numbers, click the first number in the list, hold down the Shift key, then click the last number in the range.  To select multiple individual numbers, hold down the Ctrl key and click each number you want to add.

  2. Click btn_newaddarrows.gif.

    Result:      The system moves the selected number(s) to the Resulting hunt sequence list.

    Note:      To move every available number to the hunt sequence list, click btn_newaddall.gif.

Remove numbers from the hunt sequence

  1. From the Resulting hunt sequence list box, click the telephone number(s) you want to remove.

    Note:      To select a range of numbers, click the first number in the list, hold down the Shift key, then click the last number in the range.  To select multiple individual numbers, hold down the Ctrl key and click each number you want to add.

  2. Click btn_newremovearrows.gif.

    Result:      The system moves the selected number(s) to the Select TN to add to hunt sequence list.

    Note:      To remove every available number from the hunt sequence list, click btn_newremoveall.gif.

Neither add nor remove numbers

Proceed to the next step

Order the numbers in the hunt sequence list as needed by highlighting numbers and clicking btn_newmoveup.gif and/or btn_newmovedown.gif.

From the drop-down list at the bottom of the screen, select Save Hunt Sequence Configuration, then click btn_newgo.gif.

 

Result:  The system saves the hunt sequence you entered, then takes you to a confirmation screen.  This screen indicates the success or failure of your action.

 

Note:  If you do not want to save your updated hunt sequence, select Go to previous step (Do Not Save) or Go to Worksheet View (Do Not Save) from the drop-down list.  The system will take you to the Add/Configure Hunt Sequence - Flat Rate Business Line screen or the Worksheet screen, depending on your selection.
