What do you see?

The Create User screen allows you to generate a new user account within the system.  This will allow the user to log in and use the system as you specify.  This screen is divided into three sections.  The Enterprise Information section identifies the Enterprise with which you are working.  The Functions section gives you additional options for working with the Enterprise, its users, and its accounts.  The User Information section allows you to define the user you want to create.

 

Note:  Fields marked with a red asterisk (*) are mandatory.

    Enterprise Information Section

    Field

    Description

    Enterprise ID

    This field displays the unique, provider-maintained identifier for the Enterprise with which the new user will be associated.  This is the value the system uses to identify the Enterprise.

    Enterprise Name

    This field displays the customer-maintained identifier for the Enterprise with which the new user will be associated.

    Functions Section

    Description

    Enterprise Detail

    This option takes you to the Modify Enterprise Details screen.  This screen allows you to rename the Enterprise with which you are working, update its status, or turn user self-registration on and off.

    Manage Users

    This option expands and collapses the User List option.

    User List

    This option takes you to the Manage Users screen.  This screen allows you to review the users associated with the Enterprise, and delete any that are no longer needed.

    Manage Accounts

    This option expands and collapses the Remove Accounts and Add Accounts options.

    Remove Accounts

    This option takes you to the Remove Accounts screen.  This screen allows you remove the association between the selected Enterprise and its customer accounts.

    Add Accounts

    This option takes you to the Add Enterprise Accounts screen.  This screen allows you to associate customer accounts with the Enterprise.

    User Information Section

    Field

    Description

    User Name

    This field allows you to assign the user a unique identifier.  The system uses this value to identify the user any time he or she logs in.

     

    Note: Do not use uppercase letters in this field.

    New Password

    This field allows you to assign the user's initial password.

    Confirm Password

    Retype the user's initial password here.  You must be careful to type it exactly as it appears in the New Password field.

    First Name

    This field requires you to type the user's first name.

    Last Name

    This field requires you to type the user's surname.

    E-mail

    This field requires you to type the e-mail address at which the user can be reached.

    Phone

    These fields require you to type the telephone number at which the user can be reached.

    Fax

    These optional fields allow you to type the telephone number at which the user can receive FAX transmissions (if applicable).

    Pager

    These optional fields allow you to type the telephone number at which the user can be paged (if applicable).

    Time Zone

    This drop-down list requires you to select the time zone in which the user currently resides.

    Street

    This optional field allows you to type the physical address at which the user can be contacted.

    City

    This optional field allows you to type the city in which the user's address resides.

    State

    This optional field allows you to type the state in which the user's address resides.

    Zip

    This optional field allows you to type the ZIP or postal code in which the user's address resides.

    Customer System Admin

    These radio buttons allow you to grant the new Administrative rights if necessary.

    Click this button to save the information you entered and create the user account.  If the creation was successful, the system displays the User Profile screen for the new user.  Otherwise the system displays a message indicating why the user account could not be created.

    Click this button to undo any changes you made and return the screen to the state it was in when you opened it.
