What do you see?

The VC SLA Summary screen offers VC(Virtual Circuit)   SLA(Service Level Agreement) data in a summary display for all your VCs.  This data covers the time period you specified on the Report Selection screen. Current configuration information for your Ports is updated nightly. New services will appear in the list on the day after they are added.

Note: SLA guarantees are based on complete calendar month periods. SLA data shown for shorter periods of time is provided to help isolate whether an SLA issue is chronic or an isolated occurrence. This data does not imply that SLA guarantees are provided on other than a calendar month basis.

• Fields and buttons

  Field	Description
  View By	This drop-down list allows you to choose how the report lists the VCs.  You can have the VCs listed by Customer VC Name(If you chose to rename your VCs, this is the name you assigned.  You can change your VC names from the Modify VC screen.)  or Carrier VC Name(This is the name automatically assigned to your VCs by your carrier's network.  You cannot change this value, although you can assign another name of your choosing from the Modify VC screen.).
  VC Name	This column indicates the name assigned to each VC in the list. The default value is the initial network name assigned to the VC. If you have changed the VC name(You can rename your VCs on the Modify VC screen.), the name you assigned appears here.
  VC Type	The protocol the VC uses to transmit data.  Protocol types you may see include FR(Frame), ATM(Asynchronous Transfer Mode), or IW(Frame-ATM Internetworking).  This field indicates the PVC as configured on your provider's Frame/ATM network. Customers accessing the network via NNI with third party carriers(also called virtual access) may be configured for Interworking Service to achieve connectivity between customer Frame Relay ports not both provisioned on the network.
  Total Frames/Cells	The VC activity during the display period. For Frame VCs, this field indicates the total Egress Frames measured at both endpoints. For Interworking VCs, this field indicates the total Ingress or Egress Frames, as appropriate, measured at the Frame endpoint. For ATM VCs, this field indicates the sum of Ingress cells, both CLP(Cell Loss Priority) "0" and CLP(Cell Loss Priority) "1", measured at both endpoints.
  QoS	An indicator of the relative performance SLA associated with a VC. For ATM, choices are CBR, VBR-rt, VBR-nrt, ABR, and UBR. For Frame or Interworking, choices are VFR-rt, VFR-nrt, and UFR.
  CIR/CLP 0 DDR	The cumulative CIR(Committed Information Rate) bytes or CLP(Cell Loss Priority) 0 cells received by both ends of the VC (as appropriate to the VC type), divided by the cumulative bytes or cells transmitted by both ends of the VC. The resultant calculation is thus a weighted average of the End A to End B and End B to End A DDR(Directional Delivery Rate). Committed Delivery Rate data is presented "POP to POP"(network edge to network edge).   Note:  Delivery Rate calculations are not available for Interworking VCs due to switch vendor limitations (incompatibility of units).
  AVG RTD (msec)	The VC's average RTD(Round Trip Delay).  RTD is defined as the delay(as measured between the network switches to which the customer connects) over the path traversed by the customer's VC. RTD data is presented "POP to POP"(network edge to network edge). For Frame VCs, this measurement is normally reported by the network automatically. For ATM and Interworking VCs, the measurement is derived from the average aggregate round trip delay measured for each of the inter-switch trunks the VC traverses. For customer network terminations on the same switch, the maximum intra-switch delay is assigned a conservative .5 ms estimate as supported by switch vendor architecture.   Note:  Port serialization delay is not included in RTD measurements. This can become significant at low port bandwidths. For example, a 64 Kbps port will incur approximately 14ms in serialization delay, with the delay inversely proportional to additional port speed.
