Generating a Trunk Utilization Statistics Report

 


Procedure

Follow the steps below to create a Monthly, Daily, Hourly, or Busy Hour report for one or more of your Trunk Groups:

Action

From the Reports menu, select Trunk Utilization.

 

Result:  The Trunk Utilization Statistics Report Type screen appears.

Select the appropriate radio button for the kind of report you want to generate.

Click btn_newnext.gif.

 

Result:  The appropriate Trunk Group Statistics Report Criteria screen appears.

In the Report File Name field, type the name you want to assign to the report file when it is saved.

In the Report Title field, type the title you want to appear at the top of the report.

In the Comments field, type any additional notes you want to include with the report.

Do you want to report on trunk groups for your entire enterprise, or for specific accounts?

If you want to report on trunks from...

Then...

your entire enterprise.

From the Enterprise or Account drop-down list, select Enterprise.

  1. From the Enterprise or Account drop-down list, select Account.

    Result:
     The Account list and btn_newloadtrunkgroups.gif appear.

  2. Select the account(s) whose trunk group(s) you want to add to the report.

    Note:
     To select a range of accounts, click the first one you want to include, hold down your Shift key, then click the last one.  To select multiple individual accounts, hold down your Ctrl key and click all the accounts you want to add.

  3. Click btn_newloadtrunkgroups.gif.

    Result:
     The system retrieves only those trunk groups associated with the selected accounts, displaying them in the Available Trunk Groups box.

 

In the Available Trunk Groups box, select the trunk group(s) you want to include in the report.

 

Note:  To select a range of trunk groups, click the first group, hold down your Shift key, then click the last group.  To select multiple individual trunk groups, hold down the Ctrl key and click all the groups you want to select.

Click btn_newadd.gif.

 

Result:  The trunk group(s) you selected move to the Selected Trunk Groups box.

In the Available Columns box, select the information you want to see in the report.

 

Note:  To select a range of columns, click the first column, hold down your Shift key, then click the last column.  To select multiple individual columns, hold down the Ctrl key and click all the columns you want to select.

Do you want to remove trunk groups or columns from the report?

If...

Then...

You are satisfied with your selections

Proceed to the next step.

You want to remove some trunk groups from the report

  1. In the Selected Trunk Groups box, select the trunk group(s) you want to remove.

  2. Click btn_newdeletearrows.gif.

    Result:
     The trunk group(s) you selected move back to the Available Trunk Groups box.

You want to remove some columns from the report

  1. In the Selected Columns box, select the column(s) you want to remove from the report.

  2. Click btn_newdeletearrows.gif.

    Result:
     The column(s) you selected move back to the Available Columns box.

 

In the Select Date Range fields, type the first and last date you want the report to cover.

 

Note:  You can choose the dates from a pop-up calendar by clicking icon_calendar.gif next to the appropriate field.

What do you want to do with the report:

If you want to...

Then...

Generate the report using the criteria you just entered

Click btn_newrun.gif.

 

Result:  The system submits your report for processing.  A confirmation screen appears, indicating the success or failure of the action.  The system then takes you to the Report Summary Log screen.

Schedule the report to run on a recurring basis

Click btn_newschedule.gif.

 

Result:  The system saves your criteria, then takes you to the Schedule Report screen.  See Updating Report Recurrence for more information on setting the report's recurrence schedule.
