What do you see?

The Transfer and Release page allows you to view and edit the configuration of the TnR feature for a selected call plan.  You can also work with other aspects of the selected toll-free number using the Links and Functions.  For more information on these, see Links and Functions.

• Fields and buttons

  Field	Description
  Call Plan Displayed	This field indicates the type of call plan you are currently viewing. Valid values for this field are: Primary - The current active call plan for the toll-free number. Alternate - A call plan that is different from the primary call plan and currently inactive, but which can be activated to replace the primary call plan at the owner's request. Future - An alternate call plan that is scheduled to become the primary call plan at a specific date and time. On Hold - A call plan for which provisioning has not yet been completed.
  Select Other Call Plan	This drop-down list allows you to choose another call plan to view, such as an alternate, if one exists.
  Display Mode	This field indicates the current mode of the application screen.  Valid values include: View Only - You can view the call plan information, but cannot make any changes to the call plan. Modify - You can view the current call plan information, and can make changes as needed.  When in Modify mode, you can add or update features, terminating address information, etc.
  Blind	This radio button allows you to select whether or not the TnR(Transfer and Release) feature should use blind transfers(With blind transfer, the system routes the caller to a user-designated termination, then disconnects from the original user.).
  Consult/Conference	This radio button allows you to select whether or not the TnR feature uses Consult/Conference transfers(With Consult/Conference, the system rings the user-designated termination while keeping the original user on the line.  When the selected termination picks up, the user can choose whether to release or stay on with the caller and the new termination.).
  Fast	This check box allows you to select whether the TnR feature should be on a Legacy platform or the newer Fast platform.
  Link 8XX	This check box allows you to select whether or not the feature can dial the provider's toll-free numbers.
  Music On Hold	This check box allows you to choose whether the system plays music for the caller, or a message keeping the caller informed of the transfer's progress, during blind transfers.   Notes:   Music on Hold is generally only used for Legacy TnR.  Fast TnR is fast enough that it is not necessary. This check box disappears when you select the Blind radio button and the Fast checkbox.
  Max. Digits	This field allows you to type the number of digits that users will dial before the system begins routing the caller to the appropriate terminating address.   Example - If the Max. Digits value is set to four, the system will route the call after the operator enters the fourth digit.  Any additional digits entered will be ignored.
  Prompt	This drop-down list allows you to select an automated prompt(for example, "please hold while we transfer your call") for the system to play before transferring the call.
  	Click this button to see detailed information about the prompts defined for your TnR feature.  When you click this button, the system takes you to the Prompts page.
  Strip. Digits	This field allows you to type a number of digits that the system will ignore at the beginning of what users enter.  The system disregards these digits when determining routing.   Example - If users are accustomed to dialing a prefix, such as *8, you can set this value to two.  In such a case, if the user enters *81234, the system will use only the 1234 to route the call.   Note:  This field only appears when the Fast checkbox is selected.
  Route Plan	This drop-down list allows you to choose the route plan(A route plan is a collection of dial plans associated with a transfer-and-release feature.  When a call is made to a transfer-and-release enabled toll-free number, a dialed number will indicate the appropriate destination for the caller.  The system will recognize the appropriate dial plan and use that plan's features and routing instructions to route the call appropriately.) the TnR feature will use.
  	Click this button to see more information on the selected route plan.  When you click this button, the system takes you to the Dial Plan List page.
  Announcement ID	This drop-down list allows you to select the sound file that the system will play while callers are being transferred.   Note:   This drop-down list only appears when the Music On Hold check box is selected.
  	Click this button to save any changes you have made to the TnR feature.  When you click this button, the system validates your changes and attempts to save them.  If successful, the system takes you to the Toll-free Details (Modify Mode) page.  If there are errors, the system returns you to the Call Routing Tree page, displaying an error message at the top indicating the problem.
  	Click this button to return to the last page you were viewing without taking any action.
  	Click this button to remove the TnR feature from the toll-free number permanently.  When you click this button, the system attempts to delete all the TnR options associated with the toll-free number, then takes you to the Toll-free Details (Modify Mode) page.
